Taking action. Being self-aware of your shortcomings. Embracing discomfort.
These things are not easy, but they will make your life easier! They will make you better, stronger, and more significant.
In my first year at college, I didn't want to take Communication Arts (an elective) because I had to speak in front of my class. I was shy back then and still am a bit of an introvert. But I didn't realize that by tackling my "fear of public speaking," I tapped into a confidence level I didn't know I had. After the first few words, each sentence became more manageable. I lost the quiver in my voice and focused on one familiar face in class. She smiled, and so did I, boosting my self-confidence tenfold.
Who knew taking that first public speaking class would open a portal of newfound assertiveness.

Now, I'm usually reciting views or sharing my perspective on various subjects in front of large audiences. Thanks to overcoming my fear of oral presentations, I now spread joy, openly pray, and inspire others with poise and presence. If I had not taken action, I truly believe I would not feel comfortable speaking up and out on anything.
What are you taking action on today?
What’s the ONE step you’re taking?
Once you take that first step, the second step is more effortless.
